On October 24, 2026, FUNTI received a customer from Egypt at its headquarters and showroom in Taizhou Bay New District, Zhejiang. The visit moved from the showroom floor to the test ground outside, where the customer rode the PACKY and then went through three models shortlisted for the Egyptian market: PACKY, MINO and NOVA.
First contact with the PACKY on the factory test ground, October 24, 2026.
The day began indoors. Walking the floor, the visiting party moved from display units to production details — frame construction, battery packaging, controller placement, the finishing of body panels — before the conversation turned to what the Egyptian market actually needs from a commuter: a machine that can take a passenger, hold up under daily use, and be serviced without a long wait for parts.
That question was answered outside. On the paved yard in front of the factory the customer took the PACKY out for a first ride — a low-speed walk-around first, then a longer run to feel throttle response, braking, and how the chassis behaves at speed.
The PACKY runs a 72V 40Ah lithium pack with a hub motor rated at 1.5 kW, peaking at 4 kW. Top speed is 60 km/h, range reaches up to 100 km in economy mode, and payload is rated at 150 kg on 14-inch wheels. Braking is front and rear disc, climbing ability is 16°, and a 72V 10A charger brings the pack back to full in roughly four hours.
Two-up testing on the factory apron — stability and torque with a passenger aboard.
The three shortlisted models share a family look but are built for different duties — which is why they were reviewed together rather than as alternatives to one another.
PACKY — the all-rounder. 72V 40Ah, 1.5 kW rated / 4 kW peak, 60 km/h, up to 100 km, 14-inch wheels, 150 kg payload, 16° climbing. The model ridden on the day, and the closest match to everyday Egyptian commuting.
MINO — the load carrier. The same 72V 40Ah pack and 1.5 kW / 4 kW motor, with 60 km/h and 100 km of range, but on 12-inch wheels for a lower stance and quicker handling under load. Suited to delivery and last-mile work.
NOVA — the entry point. A lighter proposition: 72V 20Ah, 1 kW rated / 2.4 kW peak, 50 km/h, up to 60 km of range on 10-inch wheels. Built for short urban trips and first-time riders, at a lower entry price than the other two.
Discussions after the ride focused on market fit for Egypt: which of the three should lead, how the battery specification should be set for local charging conditions, and what the spare-parts and after-sales structure would look like for a first order. Both sides agreed the next step is a configuration and quotation package covering the shortlisted models.
